BOOK REVIEWS:
Silent Sports

"This (Best Hikes) book is packed with great information ...This is a great book to keep in your car for hikes you plan and for impromptu excursions as you drive around the Twin Cities."

Star Tribune
"St. Paul marathon runner Kate Havelin loves Minnesota's running trails, and it is obvious that she has traversed most of them.
While hiking at Cascade River State Park near Grand Marais, I found Havelin's descriptions very accurate and helpful, right down to the need to plant feet sideways on a series of steps leading to the river."

Through the Looking Glass

"Anyone who has an interest in finding out about the lives of strong women will be intrigued by the story of Victoria Woodhull. She was such a fascinating person who really shook up the establishment of her time, daring to tell the truth about what she saw.

Well written and packed with anecdotes and interesting information about Victoria Woodhull’s life, this is one of the titles in the Trailblazer Biography series. "

Amelia Bloomer Project

"The Amelia Bloomer Project, sponsored by the Feminist Task Force of the Social Responsibilities Round Table of the American Library Association, applauds Twenty-First Century Books for having the courage to publish quality books with positive feminist themes for young eaders.

We hope this recognition encourages Twenty-First Century Books to continue publishing books with positive feminist themes and role models for children and teens."
